As major beauty sleuths here at GLAMOUR HQ, we are always on the lookout for the next major cosmetics and skincare brand – and we think we have a contender.
Luxury, vegan brand MONAT, which is already a key player in the haircare space, has launched a new skincare range and it sold $4million (£3.24m) worth of product in first 36 hours and made $2million (£1.6m) in the first five hours of launching. The UK launch was so successful that the brand had to fly in more stock from the US and sold three months’ worth of stock in 10 days, which is pretty major in our humble opinion.
So what’s all the fuss about? It’s the brand’s scientific credentials that have lured a strong fanbase. Harnessing the natural power of revitalising botanical oils, nutrient-rich exotic fruits, plant-based stem cells and a rejuvenating exclusive peptide, the brand is science-backed and designed to cater to a plethora of skin types.
Can spirulina and other algae skincare products live up to the hype?

Ten things every black woman should know in her quest for great skin
The brand’s main ingredient is its Rejuvenique S oil complex, which comprises 17 natural oils highly compatible with skincare and hair. It’s apparently rich in omega fatty acids, antioxidants and nutrients, offering unparalleled and multifunctional beautifying benefits.
Skincare buffs will be pleased to see that firm favourites, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C, are packed into the products, as well as plant stem cells derived from moss, ideal for those of us over 25 and starting to lose 1% of collagen in our skin every year after this birthday (eek!).
And for acid addicts, a cocktail of fruit acids including glycolic, malic, citrus, mandelic, mango, banana and cajá work with super soothing lactic acid to smooth and brighten complexions for glow.
I finally tried double cleansing, and my skin has never looked better
If that wasn’t enough, the brand is vegan and cruelty-free and free from nasties including parabens, SLS/SLES, silicones, mineral oil, phthalates and harmful colours and fragrances.
Are you as desperate as we are to get our hands on it when it comes back into stock?
